Guido Alessandro Orlandi II Guido   Alessandro   Orlandi   II   is   an   elderly   gentleman   cue   creator   residing   in Channing, MI who is always thinking out of the box. 20+   years   experience   repairing   and   building   precision   billiard   instruments and   having   played   on   the   Pro   Pool   Tour,   Guido   has   come   to   understand   2 important things: 1 . How a great cue should play, feel and sound. 2 . How to build such an instrument. Mr.   Orlandi’s   conical   joint   connection   is   based   on   the   ‘Morse   taper’   as   used on industrial machine tool spindles. This     ‘V-joint’     configuration     eliminates     lateral     movement,     insures concentricity,   longitudinal   straightness   and   excellent   transmission   of   sine waves through the cue from the tip to your back hand. Each   cue   begins   with   a   butt   constructed   of   exotic   woods   built   as   either   a full    splice    or    solid    straight    grain    maple    with    sleeved    handle,    these foundations   insure   the   continuation   of   ‘sensual   feedback’   to   your   mind   and muscles. The   ‘Ultra-low   squirt’   Guido   shaft   is   one   solid   piece   of   the   finest   grade   hard rock   maple.   The   shaft   is   fully   adjustable   in   weight   and   balance.   Tight   grain, well   aged   wood   transmits   the   feel   and   sound   commensurate   of   a   top   shelf billiard   instrument.   Can   be   fitted   with   your   choice   of   ferrule   material   and tip. The   jump   /   break   shaft   is   one   solid   piece   of   the   finest   grade   hard   rock maple   properly   tapered   and   with   a   dedicated   hard   tip   and   ferrule.   Can   be fitted with your choice of ferrule material and tip. The   conventional   shaft   is   one   solid   piece   of   the   finest   grade   hard   rock maple   with   a   slight   forward   balance   as   it   is   not   low   squirt.   Tight   grain,   well aged   wood   transmits   the   feel   and   sound   commensurate   of   a   top   shelf billiard   instrument.   Can   be   fitted   with   your   choice   of   ferrule   material   and tip. ‘Total   tunability’   is   built   into   each   cue   –   the   butt   and   shaft   are   fully   weight adjustable.   Weights   can   be   added,   subtracted   and   moved   longitudinally, allowing   you   to   easily   tune   the   cue’s   static   weight,   weight   distribution   and balance   point   to   the   exact   preference   of   the   player.   The   entire   cue   is tunable to fractional ounce and inch increments. These   fine   precision   billiard   instruments   are   available   on   a   very   limited basis; Guido produces less than one cue per month.
